Martial Arts Review - Complete Krav Maga by Darren Levine and John Whitman

I just finished reading "Complete Krav Maga" by Darren Levine and John Whitman for the second time in as many weeks, and I must say that it is very well done book on the basic techniques needed to be among the ranks of Krav Maga previously yellow belt all the way up to brown belt. That said, however, notes that the author so tight, that says: "Krav Maga is a martial art, is a form of self-defense."

I have only onelittle complaint with this book, and this is in some ways is not unlike the vast majority are books that teach, and try too many things in a band and not miss enough time for each technique. This small detractors is the huge amount of good, solid information that has not, which emphasized the importance of the principles as more important than the technology itself is largely overshadowed by perhaps the deepest.

Authorsare some good basic information about the execution of the techniques provided, although not detailed as they should make in the context of what the author has tried to readers is understandable. However, it should be noted that this book is to be used for the reader to learn and to guide the development of self-defensive skills that they will be able to use a state of self-defense, not a specific number of techniques set in stone order toNext rank.

Even if I, most of the material has fallen into this book, I personally liked the sections dealing with different skills and ground fighting defense against various weapons. Another important section of this book was the various examples that have been presented in training.

Now I do not know if some people here, or not offend, but my personal opinion is to take Krav Maga similar to Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do, asborrows techniques from these diverse systems are more effective, and, with a central "core" style and then add a series of excellent principles be an effective means of self-created.

This is a very useful book for purchase, if you learn how to protect against a variety of attacks with interest. However, as I said, if you really learn how to perform each technique properly, you need to do some shoppingmore books.
