Intense cardio training should include one of these three techniques every other day beginning 9 weeks out from the fight, and continuing until 7 days prior. If these techniques are followed properly, the mixed martial artist will have a huge gas tank come fight time and will not tire easily in a 15 or 25 minute competition.
Word of warning: Start out with this slow. If you have bad cardio or have not done these types of exercises its very easy to pass out during the actual exercise. To increase difficulty of the exercises, wear a oxygen deprivation mask while training, this will simulate high altitude training and will improve your cardio conditioning that much more.
